Roberto Manderioli

A photographer based out of Ferrara, who loves to click & travel.

I have always had a deep passion for photography. It was born, needless to say, during the film era. How magic is this medium that allows you to freeze an istant in time !

My favorite artists are Diane Arbus, Vivian Maier, Robert Frank, Michael Kenna and italians Mimmo Jodice and Gabriele Basilico, among several others. I also love Ansel Adams for being an absolute master in black & white photography, develop and print.

The equipment does not count, or rather, matters very little. That said here is mine:
For landscapes I use large and medium format and sometimes  even digital.
For travel almost exclusively digital.
For portraiture mostly digital, sometimes medium format.
I develop and print in black and white on fiber paper in my darkroom: an absolute poetry.
I also print in color with pigment inkjet printer.

Gear used:  Pentax 67, Hasselblad 501C,  Wista 4×5,  various digital crap
